Parents
Family Fun at the Science and Engineering Expo!
Ever want to dig for dinosaur bones? Smash geodes? Meet a real live Bearcat? Or ride on a hovercraft? You can do that and so much more at the Science and Engineering Expo. It’s a day packed with fun and exciting things for the whole family. Everyone can be a scientist at the Science and Engineering Expo!
The purpose of the SEE is to encourage students to become involved in the fields of science and engineering, and we rely heavily on parental support to make the child’s day a success. This is why we strive to create a fun and exciting day for the whole family–parents and siblings included!
Parental Requirements
In addition to encouraging and supporting students in pursuing their interest in science, parents or guardians are required to provide written consent for participation in Southwestern Ohio District Science Day. There is also an entry fee for the fair ($20/individual, $30/team).
The Checklist for Adult Sponsor must be completed before the student’s research begins. It is designed to make sure that you are aware of ethical and safety concerns involved in your student’s project. Click here to visit our resource page to download this checklist.
